“Vectors on the Move: Thinking outside the Pixel,” introduces a powerful kind of app in the mobile digital artist’s toolkit: the vector. Most artists are familiar with raster apps like Brushes, Sketchbook Pro, and Art Studio because those apps deal with pixels. But there’s no reason the basic elements of digital artwork need be tiny squares. Vector-based apps can unleash artistic freedom by allowing the digital artist to define his or her own shapes. With the mobility and added ease of use of an iPad, vectors are accessible to everyone, everywhere. Led by artist, Jarrett Kupcinski, this workshop uncovers the mysteries of vector applications. Participants will be exposed to both basic and advanced techniques through a series of exploratory drawing exercises.
