MOBILE DEVICE WORKSHOP FOR AN ADVANCED ART CLASSROOM

John Bavaro, Associate Professor of Art at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania presents a participative, hands-on workshop of an adult, high school or college-level two-dimensional design project generated exclusively from start to finish with personal mobile technology.  The session will be interactive and lead participants through a lesson geared toward using their mobile devices to employ classically modernist strategy of transitioning figurative space into broader, abstract spatial relationships. Participants should come prepared with one vector app (Inkpad, Adobe Ideas, etc) and one painting/drawing app pre-installed on their pad, pod or phone.  A preview of a similar lesson can be viewed at http://bavaroclasswork.homestead.com/Masterwork.html. A cellphone/iPad cameras is also recommended but not required.
